Cartographic Tools for the Internet
Summary
Generating pleasing and consumer-friendly maps demands data accuracy combined with an aesthetically pleasing map-design. This realisation asks for a low-cost, stable but common and flexible solution. Therefore it seems to be a solution combining the accuracy of GIS data and the graphic processing functions of a DTP. The answer for that is built by Desktop-Publishing-System extensions that are essential instruments for dealing with geodata in an environment that enables the cartographers create attractive map-products.
