Journey

Please bear in mind that the Institute for Cartography and Geoinformation is located on the ETH Hönggerberg campus and not on the ETH campus in the centre of Zurich.

The Institute for Cartography and Geoinformation can be found in the HIL building. From the main entrance of the HIL building (to the left of the campus information desk), use lift 10 to go to floor “G”. The secretariat is located on the left as you exit the lift in room G 25.1. If you get lost along the way, ask at the campus information desk next to the entrance of the HIL building.

Arriving by car

Leave the A1 motorway (Zurich-Nordring) at the Regensdorf/ZH-Affoltern exit. Take the main road in the direction of Zurich. At the second set of traffic lights, turn right towards ETH Hönggerberg (signposted). Follow the road up the hill. When you reach the top, follow the road on the right to reach the ETH Hönggerberg campus. Use the HIG indoor car park, the entrance to which is directly under the bridge. Use floor A or B. Parking is subject to a fee – take a ticket at the gate. Follow the signs to the HIL building. When you leave the campus, you will find payment machines in the inner courtyard by the spiral staircase.
