Research Topics in Cartography

The goal of this course is to provide students with an overview of current trends in Cartographic research and in particular at the Chair of Cartography at ETH Zurich. The focus is placed on methods to extract features from historical maps. Students are working independently on exercises and a small research project to apply and improve an existing method in the field.
